The Eiffel Tower From Every Corner

Shangri-La Hotel, Paris has been bestowed with coveted ‘Palace Status’, just four years after its opening. The ‘Palace status’ is official recognition to the finest 5-star hotels that have exceptional qualities embodying French standards of excellence. Located just across the Seine and Eiffel Tower, the hotel has 101 rooms and suites offering breathtaking views of Paris.

The ‘Atout France’ jury (France Tourism Development Agency) selected the palatial hotel for its soul, history and character since 1896 when Prince Roland Bonaparte constructed the building for aristocracy and upper classes of the time to gather in this majestic setting. Having undergone refurbishment and enhancement by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts from 2006 to 2010, the Prince’s residence is now listed with the French institution, “Monuments Historiques.”

“I would like to thank the Atout France jury members for exalting Shangri-La Hotel, Paris to the position of an exceptional hotel embodying French excellence and elevating France’s prestige on the world stage. This distinction constitutes a fitting reward for the staff teams who toil day after day to ensure our clientele’s well-being, under the guidance of the five key values of Shangri-La: humility, respect, courtesy, generosity of heart and sincerity,” Stefan Bollhalder, General Manager of Shangri-La Hotel stated in a press release.

The La Suite Shangri-La costs about $22,000 a night. Any takers?

The Shangri-La Hotel in Paris is the destination of the luxury lovers. The jewel in this luxury hotel is the La Suite Shangri-La suite, a special suite for those who love all things luxurious. Situated on the seventh floor, this pent house suite spreads over 220 sqm and boasts of an additional 100 sqm terrace. While the luxury amenities and facilities are truly a class apart, the USP of this suite is the panoramic views it offers. The suite overlooks iconic Paris landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, the River Seine, bridges and the Grand Palais. The 46-foot-long window in the suite’s southern face offers the view of Paris’s iconic iron lady.

The interiors of the suite are designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon. The luxurious one bedroom suite features a separate living area, dining table and a pantry. But if it’s sheer opulence that you seek, the La Suite Shangri-La can be turned into a private “apartment” spanning the entire 500 sqm of the seventh floor with four luxurious bedrooms.
